Question about topping

Hello all!

Recently I have taken on my first grow and have topped my plant and it successfully produced two beautiful colas from the main stem. Also, I notice lower nodes below the top ones that also produce nice big fat stems. My question is, is it possible to also top those secondary chutes under the original two colas that popped out?

you can but keep in mind the more you top, the smaller your colas will be
there is a point of diminishing returns with topping

I get good results from topping 3 times for a total of 8 main colas. I may try for 16 colas in my next grow and only because I'll have 3 plants in a 4x4 so I'll have all that room to spread them out. Try topping the top once for 2 colas then top both lower nodes directly below the main colas so you get 2 colas on 1 side, 2 colas on opposite side plus the 2 main colas for a total of 6 colas. I did this in my 2nd grow and it worked out great.
