Police arrest Milton man, seize marijuana

MILTON-Police arrested a man and seized about 19 marijuana plants from a Milton home Friday afternoon, according to a Milton police press release.

At about 2 p.m., employees of the Wisconsin & Southern Railroad reported seeing 5-foot tall marijuana plants growing from pails in the backyard of 500 Golden Lane, Milton, according to police.

Milton officers and Rock County Sheriff's deputies searched the home. They located drug paraphernalia, three potted cultivations of marijuana, cultivation equipment in the basement and eight potted cultivations in the backyard.

Police arrested Michael P. Johnson, 45, who lives at the home, on a count of manufacturing of narcotics. Because of a medical condition, he was taken to the Rock County Jail, processed and released.
