Reflective hood? Make your own?

Just be careful with DIY in this particular area.

If not done correctly, you can concentrate too much light in one area and easily burn the plant. Sorta like using a magnifying glass to burn ants... err, I mean, paper.

I have seen many DIY reflectors in the Grow Journals in Progress section just browsing pictures. I believe that flat white paint is going to give you the most bang for the buck as far as far ability to reflect light. It also tends to scatter the light rays - thus making it harder to concentrate them on any one place.

:goodluck: with your grow!

For what it's worth here is what I used. 10 mil aluminum flashing at HD or Lowes is about $10.00 for a 10 foot strip - I used the 14" wide not the 10" wide piece. Then I spray painted it with flat white paint. I also used white adhesive tape around the edges as it can be quite sharp and cut you. I semi bent the edges down
