When running a water cycle, how much of the cube (6") should be exposed to the water.

Im using 6" cubes in a 2x2 tray, on top of cocomat, when flooding the cube is about a 1/2-3/4" in water.

I checked the grow info, and didnt find anything.

How much water should the cube be allowed to intake? I kiow the weight of the dry cube is 10.6oz's, and after being soaked for a few minutes it was 6.2 lbs.

The cube ios 3 lbs 11 oz's after about a 15 soak.

These numbers all look cool, but I have no idea what it equates to!!

If you left the plastic wrapper on cube one inch is fine the cubes absorb from bottom. We 've had no problems when flooding three times per 12 hr light cycle at 30 min times per soak small hint if ever a cube is saturated to the distress of the plant stack it on a dry cube and it will suck out excess water in 30 min or less....good luck
