I was amazed when I tried that method myself. Just that little snip gave me about .41 grams more on the one branch I tested it on. If I did that on all my branches, I could have seen another 10-12 grams in my yield.

Oh wow! I thought that was your post haha, i saw your comparison and thought 'well if one branch brings out .4 more then more branches will equal more yield overall'. I'll have a couple cola sites to compare to the 13 i snipped, but thats not for another 3-4 weeks...but shes alot closer to finishing than she was when she started and hey its from bagseed so its pretty much free (except for electricity of course) Have a good one bro and i'll have some nice photos coming tomorrow!

Yeah man it really does work, and to keep it fair, I did this experiment on the top 2 branches, directly across from each other, same amount of light for both, since I turn my pots daily, and it worked out well. So I'll be doing that on my next grow as well.

Thanks bro! i think i have done alright for my first solo grow, a few hiccups here and there but i have again learned a lot I started the H2O flush today since i have pretty much narrowed the strain to a kush x grapefruit strain which from what i have read is best harvested at 50-57 days (the trichomes on her are mostly cloudy and some turning amber so she will be ripe when i pick her), so a week of flushing for this girl then harvest!! I shall still keep the 3 day update going and have harvest photos this sunday...PEACE

Just mmake sure you check the trichomes on the buds, and not the leaves. But check them both to see the difference in how fast they both mature. On one of my recent plants, I had 50/50 amber/cloudy on the leaves, and just cloudy no amber on the buds.

Man don't worry about the small stuff. You're going to run into those little problems in future grows too.
Just mmake sure you check the trichomes on the buds, and not the leaves. But check them both to see the difference in how fast they both mature. On one of my recent plants, I had 50/50 amber/cloudy on the leaves, and just cloudy no amber on the buds.

Thank you so much! having this bagseed has its up sides and down sides but it has been an interesting experience finding out what it could be and how to grow it! one of the most interesting and beautiful plants in my opinion

I won't knock growing bagseed. I wish I had some to grow to be honest. I like surprises like that. Going through the whole grow, watching the mystery unravel slowly until that final day when the cure is done and you give it a smoke test...
Unfortunately I don't know anyone reliable around here

It was literally pot luck haha, haven't got anymore since that one time i got a half bag. You're right it is so much more interesting than having a strain you already know, keeps the mind racing haha. its hard to get bagseed anymore cause its all about the sensimilla crops, especially here in AUS. Will do bro thank you very much!
