short plant single bud

I've heard stories about a plant that grows short and consists of one primary bud. The guy told me that you could grow them in most gardens without anyone noticing. The only problem is the guy had no recollection of the name of the strain. Does anyone know if this is a real strain or if he was pulling my leg?

best bet is probably an auto flower . It basically starts budding right from seed, if I am not mistaken. I am sure you could keep it short and out of site.

That makes sense about the auto but it sounds like these are slightly different. From what this guy tells me these plants literally grow a single giant bud right on top kinda like a corn dog on a stick. All that without having to groom it like a bonsai. SUPPOSEDLY! Like I said this is all hearsay.
