South Ontario outdoor question

does anyone know preferrably from experience what plants will succeed outdoors in this wet kinda cold short summer season of southern ontario. other issues i am wondering about... Should i plant directly into the ground? I hear frost is an issue.. how big? Should I be germinating inside then moving out? What strains would be best suited? What strains to stay away from? any info would be appreciated.

I live in southern Ontario and we have GREAT outdoor growing season from the beginning of May till harvest time in the beginning to end of November. We've got some of the greatest growing conditions in southern Ontario, warm springs, hot summers and nice fall conditions till about the end of October. There are hundreds of strains that will grow great in Southern Ontario outdoors, its here and BC where Canada's BEST weed is grown.

toss out a few strain names that are good for the beginner and also ones that are good on their own for extended periods as i wont live on site. thanks bro.

Just look for strains whos origins longitude/latitude is similiar to yours. Such as Afghan strains or something of that nature.
