How does one go about getting sponsors to try out some brands . Mostly looking for grow tents or led lights???

Er... Do you mean getting sponsors to allow you to try out some of their products? My guess would be to stick around for a couple years, develop a good post history in which you intelligently discuss various products, maybe help other members make wise decisions in regards to which product(s) would be right for them (along with helping other members in general, which tends to cause people to pay attention to you, meaning you're more likely to be perceived as being potentially useful to the sponsor), possibly run a grow journal or two in order to demonstrate that you can and will use cannabis-related products in such a way to enable other members (and the thousands of "ghosts" who anonymously read thread content here) to get a real feel for those products.
Do that, then contact the sponsor whose product(s) you are interested in, and introduce yourself. Offer links to some of your threads. Be respectful. Or, just maybe, by the time you have accomplished the above, a sponsor or two might have contacted you. You never know. . . .

Yup there would be 3 mile long line out the door if anyone could just get free gear for startup. With that said - some nutrient companies will give free product samples if you pay shipping costs. That’s about as good as it gets. There are other giveaways for best nugget photo, best grow journal etc but competition is stiff - so you gotta bring it

my experience is that when they are ready, they will contact you. They have plenty of volunteers to choose from but I think that they try to pick the most high profile posters that they can see. It actually does pay to keep a constant presence on these forums and to be nice.
