Thin stem

My plants stems are thin and need assistance in staying up, what can i do?

That won't improve the problem of the stem being too thin.

It sounds like they could be too stretched. Try moving the lights closer to your plants. Get a fan on them, the wind will move your plants, making them adapt and become stronger.

Put a fan blowing on them, it will make them stronger...

If its real small do as GS said with the straw.....keep the fan kinda far away to avoid windburning the thing to death. In my personal opinion why not just start over with the light closer??? Just my 2 cents. Hope i helped.

that and make a little "L" shaped brace out of a paperclip, leaving a little hook at the top to hold the stem. Just poke it in the dirt and then hook around the stem until it's strong enough to support itself.

Will the stem eventually grow thicker, becasue I have started growing it under a more intense 400watt light.
