Trying to hit a final target height of 5' - Will flowering double the height?

I'd like to have a final height of about 5'. This is based on 8' ceilings and I'm not counting the bucket height, probably 5 or 7 gallon buckets.

I've read that flowering will double the height of the plant, is this true?

If so I should start flowering at 2' ~ 2.5' ?

My understanding is that once you start the flowering process, you no longer have control over the timing and growth, because you harvest when most of the trichomes turn amber and that's more up to the plant than you.

I know there are many factors, strain, lighting, etc... but I'm just looking for a general rule of thumb...

Er well... something like that.

Indicas normally double in size.

Sativa normally triple in size.

Hybrids some where in between depending on dominate genetics.

Not always like that tho...

Trichome development can be adjusted/altered by light timing DLR/deminsing light routine or flipping to 10/14 for the last 2 weeks of flowering to speed up finshing time.

Ye i love LST pretty alright for height control also which can increase yield as its a form of super cropping :thumb:
