A coalition of veteran collective operators with extensive advocacy
experience have formed the 280E Reform Movement. This is the only issue
they're addressing, they do not have a smorgasbord of causes. The
collective operators are among the most experienced in the state. Some of
them are in the process of being audited. Thus, they speak from direct
experience, and will approach this problem in a way that will be useful to
collective operators. Other members include the top cannabis tax experts in the country.
As part of their campaign, the 280E Reform group is putting on a series of
seminars across the country. They just did one in Seattle which was very
well attended and got rave reviews. The panel includes tax experts and
collective operators. The Los Angeles Seminar has had a change of location
since I last contacted you about this matter. As you will see, as a mark
