When to process cuttings into oil?

I just harvested and have buds in drying waiting to go into cure. The trimmings are in boxes waiting to be processed.

Is there any reason to wait to process the trimmings?

I'm thinking butane oil would be best, so I can't see any reason to wait, it's not going to be smoked, so why wait?

Ice hash with the use of bubble bags is much safer

Good to know, sorry for the confusion on my part.

Ok, so this ice method, do I cure the cuttings 1st or can/should I start that right away?

Throw 'em in plastic containers and place them in the freezer for 24 hrs then process away. I use the isopropyl alcohol method myself. I just freeze me trim, pour enough 99% iso alcohol in there to be able to cover it all once it's mashed down. I mix that up for about 30 seconds, then strain through cheese cloth and let it sit out all night. By morning, depending on the amount of alcohol I use, it's usually ready to scrape. You can speed things up with a hair dryer under the kitchen hood. Just be sure you're well ventilated.

I freeze my trim for up several months saving up enough quanity for the ice hash/bubble bag collection for a decent yield...



Another idea is canna butter which leaf trim & stalk can be used
