A 24-year-old Lindsay woman accused of giving two teens marijuana cookies as a graduation present has been arrested.
The woman, identified by the Tulare County Sheriff's Department as Keisha Sparling, was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.
The incident was reported around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. The TCSD reports that deputies from the sheriff's Porterville Substation responded to a local hospital regarding a 17-year-old boy who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. The teen stated he and another 17-year-old had eaten a cookie baked with marijuana.
Sparling, who possesses a medical marijuana recommendation, was also booked on suspicion of furnishing marijuana to a minor.
The teen was later released from the hospital.
