Would This light work?

Well it's my first grow and im going 2 start with just 2 plants just to see what happens. I have a construction spot light kickin around and was wondering if it would work as a heat lamp. Although it does get pretty HOT pretty fast and was worried about it starting a fire when left on 4 12 hrs. It is 150 w light.

I don't think halogens would work for growing plants. only HID's or flouro's.

no don't use it. After a few hours the black plastic thing where the cord comes out will start to melt. Trust me on this. Besides the plants will fry anyway.

Ok thx I gess ima have to get 2 the hardeware store ASAP because my plants are already 2" tall and I just have em beside a 60 watt lamp...
