..well.. as the title suggests .. is this just funky or do I need to take this as a message from the lady ?
White calyx? Just something to take pictures of or?

I would bet that she is so focused on flowering she isn't pushing photosynthesis. If she isn't moving the right chemicals around it can't happen. In late flower, the color changes in the leaves for this same reason. This is why you see reds, purples, oranges, and yellows. Fall colors because she would be maturing during that season and change with the rest of the seasonal plants. Especially from sensimilla, they stress a bit more at the end because they haven't made any babies (seeds) and they worry about continuation of their genetics; left over instincts from growing wild.
