¼ teaspoon Ground Dry Aleppo Pepper (or red pepper flakes)
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
¼ teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper
½ teaspoon Dry Onion Bits
½ teaspoon Dry Garlic Bits
2 tablespoons Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
¼ cup Fresh Cilantro (rough chopped)
Fresh Pan Roasted Herbs Garnish
-For the pan toasted spices add all the spices to a small sauté pan with the regular olive oil and toast over medium heat for 6-8 minutes cool for 15 minutes then add Magical Olive Oil. Set aside to cool.
Serve the soup hot each garnished with toasted spices in their oil and several fresh cilantro sprigs. Enjoy!
Moroccan Red Lentil Purée
Add all the soup ingredients into the MB2e excluding the fresh lemon juice and cilantro.
Secure lid. Set the temperature to 160° and set the timer for 1 hour and let the machine work its magic.
When the cycle is finished add the fresh lemon juice and chopped cilantro and run for an additional 5-minute cycle on 160°.
Run the soup an additional 5-minute cycle with no heat for a smooth soup.
Season the soup to taste and make sure you are happy with the desired consistency. (can thin out with water if needed)
