Allentown police found a canning jar with 15 baggies of marijuana when they searched a double-parked car on South Carlisle Street near Hamilton Street, according to court documents.

The driver, Michael Peters, 30, of Allentown, was charged Sunday with felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana. He was also arraigned on lesser charges of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession and double parking.

According to court documents, the double-parked Nissan was creating a hazard, so Allentown police approached. The officer could smell marijuana coming from the car and see a “brown cigar marijuana blunt” on the console.

When the officer searched the car he found a jar with 15 baggies of individually packaged marijuana and a bronze marijuana grinder, according to court documents.

Peters was sent to Lehigh County Jail under $10,000 bail.
