A new medical marijuana dispensary is opening its doors in Amherst today. RISE Amherst, a dispensary owned and operated by Green Thumb Industries, will have a ribbon cutting ceremony from noon to 3, which is free and open to the community.
Attendees will be able to tour the facility and learn more about Massachusetts’ medical marijuana program from experts.
According to the RISE Amherst Facebook page, no product will be available for purchase today. Massachusetts medical marijuana cardholders will be able to purchase their products starting on May 21.
RISE Amherst is located at 169 Meadow Street.
