Is your business ready when medical marijuana becomes legal September 1st in the State of Ohio?
The Lima / Allen County Chamber of Commerce is urging local business owners to have a policy in place regarding medical marijuana in the workplace. The Chamber is sponsoring a seminar entitled “Decisions Every Business Needs to Make”. It will cover the operational issues related to the law and the functional implications of allowing, or not allowing employees to use medical marijuana.
“We’ve dealt with alcohol, and we’ve sorta dealt with substance abuse but this a little bit of a different twist, because it’s legal and not legal, and so what type of policies do you have in place to be proactive?” asked Jared Metzger, Lima / Allen County Chamber President.
The seminar is free but reservations are required as space is limited. You can register by calling the Chamber at 419-222-6045. It will be held Tuesday, July 31st from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Howard Johnson Lima.
