Yes I reduced the amount of General Hydroponics Flora Gro to 3 milliliters per gallon to offset the nitrogen that is being supplied by the Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus being fed at 8 milliliters per gallon that also supplies additional nitrogen. I do not have a step by step nutrient feed schedule from start to finish written down. Since I am using LED light panels as my light source and plants grown under LED light panels require a lower dosage of nutrients and higher concentration of water I generally keep my nutrient strength 1/2-3/4 of the nutrient feed schedule recommended by General Hydroponics for best growth.

If you are using a LED light panel as your illumination source plants grown under LED lights have a higher requirement for calcium and magnesium. I use Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus at 5 milliliters per gallon this may depend on your water source and quality.

I you notice the tips of the leaves beginning to yellow/brown this is a sign of nutrient burn and the nutrient strength should be slightly reduced.

  1. When I either germinate seedlings after the seedlings have grown well and are 4"-5" tall and have 5 nodes of growth I begin 1/4 strength nutrients.
  2. When the plants are growing well I try to increase the nutrient strength by 1/4 strength every 3rd-4th watering until the plants are receiving 5 milliliters of each General Hydroponics Flora series 3 part nutrients in vegetative growth.
  3. When I transition my plants to flowering I change the nutrient feed to 5 milliliters per gallon of General Hydroponics Flora Gro, 5 milliliters per gallon of Flora Micro and increase the Flora Bloom to 8 milliliters per gallon. I begin to add Liquid KoolBloom at 2.5 milliliters per gallon in week 2 of flowering.
  4. I begin spraying Snow Storm Ultra at 1.25 milliliters per quart or liter on the plants in week 2 of flowering and spray the plants every 7-10 days and discontinue spraying during the harvest flush period.
  5. I discontinue using nutrients during the harvest flush period. Here is how long I would flush these different mediums.

    Aeroponic/Hydroponic 4-7 days
Soiless mediums 7-10 days (peat moss and coco coir)
    Soil 10-14 days
  6. During the harvest flush period if you notice the tips of the leaves beginning to turn yellow or brown this is a sign that the nutrients are being used from the leaves in the harvest flush period. Ideally you would like to harvest your plants after the fan leaves are yellowing and before the sugar leaves begin to yellow.

If you notice your plant is developing a calcium and magnesium deficiency then increase the amount of Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus to 8 milliliters per gallon. If you notice that in flower you have the tips of your leaves nutrient burn then I would slightly reduce the General hydroponics Flora Gro to as low as 3 milliliters per gallon to offset an increase of Botanicare Cal-Mag Plus to 8 milliliters per gallon
