Learning! Learning! Learning!

So anyone who has followed my thread knows I have dealt with my fair share of issue's. I have learned how to deal with these and some issue's have reoccurred and I have tried other methods adapted etc.

So a few weeks ago I say some "flies" and could only assume it was gnats. I treated it with SNS 203 as a root drench method. First time I have dealt with gnats and the SNS was recommended. The gnats have never been an issue I just occasionally see one or two hanging around and my sticky pads are getting some here and there. But I wanted it to be dealt with now so I have treated the Coco 2 times?

So then a week ago I harvested that mangy TW and it was infested... So I used up my mighty wash and treated the others. 3 days later I used a sprayer to do them all again in green clean. I have yet to see a mite except that initial plant but I must stay on it... I will spray again in a few days with GC again but I will start to avoid ones getting close to harvest...

So then..(they come in three's) I did a full rez fill 2 days ago and I was looking at my plants after a feeding and they do all look fabulous if I do say so myself. But wait... is that PM? WHAT? NO its not.... What the f is that? I look in the rez NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Cyanobacteria is back... On a fresh rez? With fresh bennies? Can't be? How ? Think Think Think....

.....New rez... pump.. everyhose... stones....feeders.....WTF... Thats it..

It's in my wonderful ph 9.0 everytime 45 ppm water... Has to be....

Research..... Some more.... OK so I think I got it figured out... There is a trace amount of cyano in my water has to be... They kill it off at the water plant with Chloramine... But 1 ppm probably remain.. Not harmful to humans in trace amount... So they say... The chloramine does not dissipate like chlorine alone does so it kills off all the bennies I add in the rez but the trace amounts of cyano love the food of the dying good bennies and feed like mad... Thus Bloom of it happens...

Does all that make sense?

Solution is simple a filter that I already installed but I do need to switch out the cartridge for a specific one to greatly reduce the Chloramine thus allowing my good bennies to flourish and stomp out the baddies! Yippee Hooray! At Least this solution makes sense to me..... I hope....

It is true what they say though with experience I am catching things a lot earlier and that is huge in growing. If things get too far out of wack things get irreparable.

So let's go look in veg

Last pic is the one of note. It was just transplanted and I watered it extra ( was dry in pic) It is a Fruit Punch.. I want it to have a good veg and flower is full so it can ;)
All of veg is really going well.. I want to try cloning direct into coco soon so I am popping seeds all over and all kinds of clones from existing runs...

Ok Cloner still needs that water change but I am pulling out clones.. I know the issue as well.. It does need a stone in there.. I believe it needs the fresh air being pumped into it...I believe the extra stirring is helping alot... But I still want to clone with gel or powder right into coco. I have seen peoples threads on it. Should be easy.. But I am sure I will have to learn my way to do it...

Over in Flower I am glad I got at that early.. i still want to take the top layer of coco off all the flower plants before I run the auto feed again and it will be two days until the right filter arrives to start the non chloramine water treatment. So I ran some filtered water to all the plants to keep them from drying out.. Like a flush... Then I will feed them in 48 hours... They will sure be dry and ready by then... Hopefully it wont hurt them... I will be watching..

They look great right now...

Blueberry Headband was it Jacob? This is just about to show male or female...Unsexed. I swear I see female pistils but I am not totally sure. I have been checking daily.. It has not flipped to flower totally yet...Looks promising.. I have two really good clones of it in Veg.. Lets hope!

This White Widow clone from my past plant is growing at a rapid pace! Look at the crystals... This one is the one i worry the bacteria will hurt because it is the latest into flower.. 7 weeks i think? Forget...I have noticed I am now running 1 week over on most strains if i can health wise to get the trics darker.

The JH that I have no idea what to think of... I run gas lantern in Veg and this thing started to flower in veg I think.. So i threw it small into flower and Now i have no idea how long it will grow and it looks odd..!! LOL At the time flower was getting low on plants so I didn't mind. If the BBHB is female i will be full for 2-3 more weeks.. Veg definitely will catch back up...I have 2-3? more seeds I popped and i have 3 new PC seeds from along the way that I am curious if one can replace the current overrun clones I keep taking... It still produces but fresh and more systematically run I think I can get a new plant to be a heartier strain longer these days...

I guess that's it for now.. Sorry I am behind on my 50 threads I just have been super busy with the grow and RL as you see..Thanks for coming by! I will get caught back up soon!

:peace:
