I too am interested in LED lights. I was am looking at the 200w Diamond LED. I have been told they are great for vegging but not so during flowering. The salesman said he would be glad to sell me one but, I should invest in a 400w HID instead. Something about intensity and canopy penetration. I am going to subscribe to your blog entry. Please post pics and comments during flowering.

This is my second grow with the 300w LED Diamond series
My first was Sagarmatha - AK 48 - auto - feminized Only got 2.5 oz out of the grow with 2 plants third died because I am a noob :)
Anyway besides the little harvest, they were very sticky and crystaly buds I was pleased with the smoke, Even though imo it could have been stronger stone ( I bet I harvested to early as I did not own a jewellers scope at the time. I do now.

2.5 oz?????? I am trying to make one grow a year for myself. Figure I need about 12 oz or 336 grams. Only have room for 4 plants. So... 84 grams per plant will do the trick. This will be my 1st grow. Any wisdom, like having a jewellers scope, you can share will be most appreciative.

What strain are you growing ? Are they auto flowering plants ? If they are, your not going to get that much for 4 plants, I know that for a fact. From what I have read there more of a gorilla grow plant or a small closet plant. And for the most part they aren't as strong, the ( THC, CBD ) I mean.
I choose that kind of plant/strain for my first grow because I felt they were less work and a good choice for a noob, But noob or not I will never waste my time with them again. IMO feminized regular strains are my only desire. Go read up on autos, even on a perfect grow I only hear peeps getting 2 to 3 ounces per plant, and thats wet, dry that shit and blam you get a sence of shit!
I just wasted 3 to 4 months on these stupid plants.
And yes Get a jewellers scope off of Ebay for 12 to 15 $ get dual one with led lights in it, the one I have is 30x22mm / 60x12mm and I have just have a single 40x25mm all cheap but work for my needs.

His name is Kyle
If you have the $ I would get at least a 300w I wish I had more at the time I bought mine, Good thing is when I get my other 300w I can daisy chain it and space it proper and get a third ghost light.

I would also like to add, The pineapple chunk ( Barneys Farm ) your looking at has been in veg for excatly 3 months I just started my 12/12 when I made this journal. Ill be doing a Bi-weekly photo up dates for this grow. I decided to only do 3 out of my 5 seeds as I felt I wanted to keep my plants in the core coverage of the light.

Haven't quite started yet. I have been studying how-to videos, articles, and books for about 2 months now. I did the same thing before I built my, my moms, my cousins, and my aunts computer. So I'm feeling confident about doing this without any serious consequences. Will purchase "Foxfarm Ocean Forest" potting soil, Foxfarm Grow Big, Foxfarm big bloom, and Tiger Bloom Monday. Next week I can get a 400w HID lamp and ballast and reflector for $145 US. I would like to learn more about the LEDs before such an expensive investment. The grow tent is 48" x 48" x 78" and will be mailed to a friends house. Same friend will pick up supplies from a local hydroponics store. I haven't decided on an exhaust system yet.
Good point about light on the jewellers scope. Didn't think of that.
I like Herbies Seeds website so, I'll get "Bomb THC Bomb Feminised Seeds" first.
Thanks Bean66. It's very helpful to have another connoisseur to bounce ideas off of.
