Random Thoughts - December 21, 2015

Random Thoughts:
  • had a complete meltdown today - first time in a while (a few weeks, anyway)
  • Hash and good tunes are definitely the best way to deal with stress, IMO.
  • I wish crying didn't make me so sleepy.
  • Eating hash is definitely a much better high than smoking it but I didn't want to stay high into tomorrow. :)
  • I'm looking to buy a small but easy to smoke glass water pipe. Any suggestions? I'd prefer to buy from Canada since our dollar is in the dumpster right now. :yikes:
  • I don't want to spend too much since if I plan it, I usually eat my hash. I am a non-smoker, after all.
  • I wish people who did reviews of (can't think of the word...)
  • Review of products, that's what I wanted to say. I wish that reviews of products/accessories were easier to read when I'm high. If I review any products, I'm going to try to remember to post in point form maybe listing Pros, Cons and Comments. I like those kind of reviews.
  • I'm not going to emoticons after every thought. It's too complicated. Just assume that I'm smiling after each positive thought, like this one.
  • One of the good things about thinking after smoking is that it's somewhat easier except of course if there are just too many things going on at the same time.
  • I started getting high around 6:30 or so and I'm feeling much more relaxed than earlier -- still a little edgy if I start thinking about it so that's why I'm stopping right now.
  • Is it just me who sometimes feels like blowing instead of sucking my water pipe?
  • It's 9:45 now and you're probably hoping I'll go to bed soon because this blog is getting really long. The problem is that I'm a talker when I'm high and since no one is here to talk to, I type instead. I've got several documents like this blog on my computer already. I'll soon find out whether posting my random thoughts here while high is a good idea or not.
  • I actually love it when my husband is home and hangs with me when I'm high (his drug is beer).
  • It's 10:08 and all of a sudden, I feel exhausted. Maybe, you'll be lucky and I'll finally finish this blog.
  • I just realized that it would have been my parents' 58th wedding anniversary today if my mum hadn't died 17 years ago.

Playlist:
  • Unsteady by X Ambassadors
  • Come Out & Play by The Offspring
  • The Shade by Metric
  • Come to Light by Arkells (Leather Jacket is my favourite by them - I've seen them in concert 3 times, I think)
  • Pompeii by Bastille (prefer Bad Blood)
  • New Americana by Halsey (love this marijuana song)
  • Tongues by Dear Rouge
  • My Type by Saint Motel
  • Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie
  • La Grange by ZZ Top
  • Stressed Out by X Ambassadors
  • Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood
  • California Nights by Best Coast
  • Ship to Wreck Florence + the Machine (Dog Days Are Over is my favourite by them)
  • 2 Heads by Coleman Hell
  • 3 A.M. by Matchbox Twenty
  • 4am by Our Lady Peace (We saw them in concert in June and they were AWESOME! Unfortunately, I was new at eating my hash and hadn't quite had enough to be flying but still had a good time.)
  • 5 A.M. by Blue Rodeo (I'm listening my music off my iPhone now and the songs are in alphabetical order.)
  • 11:11 by Arkells
  • 19th Nervous Breakdown by The Rolling Stones
  • 21 Guns by Green Day (saw them in concert in 2009 and they were AWESOME, too - in fact, I think the tour was promoted this album)
  • 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day
  • 38 Years Old by The Tragically Hip (seen them at least 3 times - they're pretty great, too - my favourite by them is Blow At High Dough)
  • 45 Years by Stan Rogers (I know this is different from the rest but it's one of my favourite songs of all time. I love Stan Rogers and I'm sorry he died before I could see him.)
  • The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) by Simon & Garfunkel (I was a huge S&G fan when I was a young teen. I knew all there songs off by heart. I was that way with Elton John and Supertramp, too. Unfortunately, I never got to see any of them.)
  • 500 Miles by Peter, Paul & Mary (I got into them because my mum loved them and I even got to see them in concert once. They're a good, solid folk group.)
  • 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins (last one in my alphabetical song list - I'll have to figure out whether to start again at A or play one of my other playlists or even just play one artist like Green Day or Linkin Park, for example.)
  • Santa Fe from the Rent Film Soundtrack (the black detective who used to be on Law & Order sings it and I totally love his voice and I must admit I'm partial to songs I can sing along with and actually get most of the lyrics right)
  • Rolling In the Deep by Adele - love, love, love this song
  • The Dead Heart by Alexisonfire (it still blows me that the lead singer for this song is the same lead singer for City and Colour).
  • A Horse With No Name by America (America is another band I love because I can sing along with their songs.)
  • Lonely People by America
  • Sister Golden Hair by America
  • Keep the Car Running by Arcade Fire (I'd love to see Arcade Fire in concert)
  • The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
  • We Used to Wait by Arcade Fire
  • Respect by Aretha Franklin
  • Leather Jacket by Arkells
  • Like A Stone by Audioslave (whenever I hear Audioslave, I think of Three Days Grace - I don't think they sound anything alike so I don't know why I think of them)
  • I Am the Highway by Audioslave
  • Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf) by AWOLNATION
  • I Am by AWOLNATION
  • Taking Care of Business by Bachman-Turner Overdrive
  • Bad Company by Bad Company

Music

  • For my playlist, I'm only listing the songs that I actually really like on Stingray Music (a satellite station)
  • Isn't it interesting how sometimes when you're listening to music that you normally like that you suddenly hate it when high?
  • I'm really loving the ZZ.
  • Since this is my first blog here, I thought I'd let you know that I really like music that is part rap/part singing like Linkin Park.
  • I used to really like Red Hot Chili Peppers that way but now they're one of the bands that I really hate when I'm high.
  • We were supposed to see Linkin Park and Rise Against in February this year but the show was cancelled due to one of the band members of Linkin Park breaking his ankle. I was so bummed. I was really looking forward to the concert.
  • There seems to be a fair amount of new songs about getting high or is that just that I only notice when I'm high?
  • My husband just bought me (us) a subwoofer and central speaker for our sound system and I'm having a hard time knowing how loud it really is. The number indicates it's not that loud but it really sounds loud.
  • I'm always worried family will drop by when I'm wasted and I definitely know they don't or wouldn't approve.
  • I'm listening to my Top Rated Songs Playlist now (the songs are in order by artist and then by song).

Possible Glass Water Pipes (based on reviews I read online):

Bands I Wish I Could See in Concert:
  • Arcade Fire
  • Audioslave
  • Led Zeppelin
  • Green Day
  • Linkin Park

Okay, I'm out of here. It's 10:41 and I'm tired and I know it will be another hour at least before I'm asleep.
