Random Thoughts - January 10, 2016

- I took .362g of hash at 3:30 p.m. melted in 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil and mixed with full fat vanilla yogurt.

- It's quarter to 5 and I'm just starting to feel it. I'm guessing it took longer than normal as I had lunch shortly before.

- 5:16 - must be high, the time is going more slowly now and it's hard to hold onto a thought (took me to 5:23 to finish this particular one)

- the babbling has kicked in - 5:38

- 5:47 p.m. - when the radio plays a song I hate, the silence is too loud for me to think so finding another station playing something I like is the only thing I can think about (I wish the emoticons were bigger to see on this website because if they were, I'd probably use more of them. There are a few that are okay like "Good Job", thumbs-up emoticon, the heart, and, of course the 420 magazine one.) - {insert emoticon}

- I totally cannot think when there's no music on. {insert emoticon}

- And, then I get totally distracted when the music is on...

- I wish there was a (can't think of the word) that made my words

- When I was younger and got high, I only smoked and always thought I got muck mouth because of the smoking but these days, I'm eating it and I'm still getting muck mouth. Who knew? It probably doesn't help that I'm on medications that make my mouth dry all the time, too. You'd think with drinking 96+ ounces of water a day, I wouldn't have such problems.

- It's really, really hard to think (6:35 p.m.).

- 7:18 p.m. - I wish my brain could keep up with my thoughts.

- 7:36 p.m. - Ditto.

- 7:40 p.m. - I can't think with the music on but when I try to zone out and just chill to it, my brain wakes up and next thing you know, I'm working on half a dozen things and everything is very complicated

- 7:46 p.m. - I love listening to lots of jazzy/bluesy music when I'm high like Barenaked Ladies, Adele,

- 7:56 p.m. Everything is such an adventure when I'm high. I decided to make my version of a chocolate milkshake and the only one I've had in decades other than the occasional kids-sized Frosty. It's filling, has mostly healthy ingredients like natural crunchy peanut butter,

- 8:25 p.m. - When you reach for your glass and find the earbuds you were trying to get a new

- 8:26 p.m. - Everything seems so complicated right now.

- 8:28 p.m. - When you remember your earbud thing again - remembered at 8:54 p.m. when I reached for my water again. Crap, my mouth is so dry but I need to find out how to put the cushion back on my earbuds so I can listen to music in bed but that's not right as

8:57 - It's hard to think but if I just listen to the music, it freaks me out.

9:07 - Okay, it was someone knocking at the door before and now I keep hearing the phone.

9:26 - Haven't felt anxious with any song lately. Will keep you posted but I can barely keep my eyes open so I'm probably at least going to bed soon. I can't be up too late anyways as I have lots to do before the Home Depot lady comes to measure our front window for vertical blinds and besides that, I have to work on Tuesday so I'm aiming for less than my optimum amount of sleep.

9:30 - I don't think I blink my eyes enough and that's why my eyesight is blurry.

9:36 - Night folks! Emoticons still aren't working.

MUSIC

Playlist (only the songs I hear on the radio that I like):

  • Your Mess is Mine by Vance Joy
  • The Shade by Metric (I like Metric but I don't love them and I definitely don't think I'd ever like to see them in concert.)
  • Use Somebody by Kings of Leon
  • Come Out and Play by The Offspring
  • Crystals by Of Monsters and Men
  • Leave A Trace by Chvrches
  • Lifted Up (1985) by Passion Pit (Is the (1985) part of the name of the song or the year someone thought it up?) - never mind, the lyrics include "1985 was a good year." so I guess it's part of the song. :cheesygrinsmiley:
  • Wake Up by Arcade Fire
  • White Noise by The Glorious Sons
  • Orleans by The Standstills (love this song)
  • Ready to Fall by Rise Against
  • Push Pull by Purity Ring
  • Chip Off the Heart by Rah Rah (another girl band that I like kind of - Elle King so far seems to be the only current girl singer I dislike intensely.)
  • My Body by Young the Giant (love this song)
  • 2 Heads by Coleman Hell
  • Kids by MGMT (I've liked this one for awhile but they don't play it much on the radio these days but since I haven't heard it in awhile, I don't know if I'd still like them if they were on all the time.)
  • Nightlight by Silversun Pickups
  • I Am by AWOLNATION

7:30 p.m. - Current Playlist - My Top Rated:
  • I'm so confused...
  • In my head, I've already added them - it's so hard to think and not just listen to the tunes but my brain always wakes up and wants to do something else.
  • I'm always surprised I haven't added anything yet. - 8:16 p.m.
  • I'm really high - it's hard to stay focused but when I just listen to the music, I get breathless and need to take some deep breaths and listen to the music to calm down again.
  • 9:16 p.m. -

8:19 p.m. - Current Playlist - My Top Rated - Take 2:
  • In Pieces by Linkin Park
  • The Rainbow Connection
  • Bad Habit by The Offspring (especially love the line, "You stupid dumbsh* goddam motherF-er.

  • 2 Heads by Coleman Hell
  • If I Had $1,000,000 by the original Barenaked Ladies (another classic - we saw them at one of the annual festivals on Pier 14 the day after the big Plastimet fire. They joked that they found us by following the smoke! LOL! (I was on vacation that week. People who were at work got sent home. We never get sent home.)

Weird Things About Music:
  • I HATE the song, Ex's & Oh's by Elle King but other new female bands like Chvrches, Alvays Archie, Purity Ring, I like.
  • I used to LOVE Rise Against and when they and Linkin Park were supposed to tour together, I bought tickets because I also love Linkin Park but when I bought their newest CDs and started listening to them, I ended up liking Linkin Park way more than Rise Against but I think I need to listen to more Rise Against as they just played a song by them and I remembered I like them
  • What's with all the bands using a "v" in the names of their bands and/or songs instead of a "w"?
  • Young the Giant's "My Body" has the lyrics "his eyes are open" but I can't listen to it with mine open.
  • wouldn't it be cool if you had your own music station and could play all your own playlists on it?
  • Who the hell is Rich Aucoin? Everytime I see what looks like "his" but sounds like "her", I think of Richie Rich.
  • Arcade Fire's "We Used to Wait" is making me feel breathless so I'm turning it down and trying to stay focused on typing as it will calm me down. I think Pink Floyd used to do that to me, too.
  • That's so weird...- All the music that I normally love, I think I'm too high to enjoy it too much

Bands/Songs I Like But Don't Love:
  • Metric
  • Kings of Leon
  • Ship to Wreck by Florence + the Machine
  • Passing Out Pieces by Mac Demarco
  • Want to Believe by Rich Aucoin
  • Mother Mother - I like them but I just don't know if

  • 2 Heads by Coleman Hell
  • Silversun Pickups
  • I Am by AWOLNATION
  • anything by Bare Naked Ladies w/Steven Page
  • Bad Habit by The Offspring (although it's making me a bit breathless and it seems really, really loud (it's only at 68 but
  • So good, I had to play it again. My emoticons aren't working but if you end up reading a bunch of grinning emoticons, you'll know why.
  • The Poisoned Aeros in general - good female punkish band and from The Hammer.
  • Somebody to Love by Jefferson Airplane
  • Supertramp - Crime or Moments' albums
  • Bastille
  • Audioslave
  • Barenaked Ladies w/Steven Page

Songs/Bands I Like More When I'm High:

  • White Noise by The Glorious Sons, which BTW, always reminds me of Sons of Anarchy for some weird reason since I've seen the show.
  • Sam Roberts in general - it's just good catchy tunes
  • Chip Off the Heart by Rah Rah (I think)
  • 2 Heads by Coleman Hell
  • 8:31 p.m. - there probably a whole bunch between the last one and the next one - I've been busy

Songs/Singers that Remind Me of Someone Else:
  • Young the Giant and Foster the People or at least "My Body" by YTG and "Pump It Up" by FTP - their names are similar in format, too.
  • Supertramp and a Pink Floyd/R.E.Mish type band
  • Bastille and Imagine Dragons
  • Mentally, I connect Audioslave and Three Days Grace as similar but to me, there music is totally different - although that said, maybe Audioslave would sound more like Three Days Grace if they were grittier.

Good Songs to Just Mellow Out to:

  • Weight of Love by The Black Keys

  • 2 Heads by Coleman Hell
  • I Am by AWOLNATION
