Hello TripleBeam. As mouser pointed out, I use rooting hormones, but I don't use anything else other than Rapid Rooter plugs and a strong dilution of aloe vera gel and water. Soak the plug in the water/aloe, slather gel all over the prepared cutting stem, coat it with rooting hormone and stick it into the plug.

It's never failed me, even the cutting I left too long without checking when I went to Jamaica in Feb rooted, and is flowering right now.

This method is so reliable I only take one cutting at a time. Can't get much better than that. TOAST is a genius. Wait till you see how he grows in Ziplock bags.
