Well, what did we learn?
While waiting for my next batch of seeds I decided to transplant this odd little seedling again. The soil, while better than what I started with, was just not cutting it. Not enough drainage, staying moist too long from what i gather from grow journals here. Since this guy refuses to die (so far) I put him in a bigger pot and the better soil I got in the Big City for my next round.
Watered with just a bit of the fertilizer I mixed up before, and added some straight distilled water. Set him up higher, closer to the light.
The second set of true leaves are just emerging - hard to tell from the purple LED, but I didn't think to shoot a picture before I set him back in his cell.
This little trooper hasn't recovered his green color yet, still sort-of a pea-green, but his leaves aren't drooping any more. We'll see how they look after today
I don't have any hopes that this will turn out to be a female - that's why I call this little sprout a him. But he's helped me learn, and I'll keep at helping him grow as long as I can.
I learned that I am an over waterer! At first I figured that this was due to my meds for the neuralgia. Can't feel wet or dry too well. But, looking back over my plant career, I have never had any luck with plants and I hoover anxiously and water hoping they won't die (which kills them LOL!)So this is a learning challenge! I have been following a couple journals of some pretty relaxed and optimistic dudes here and I have also learned I am approaching this whole endeavor from a pessimistic angle. I'd like to change that too. We'll see.
Also, I have learned that I may just opt for an auto-flowering grow after I get these bag seeds practiced on more thanks to reading through this one journal of SweetLeef

I have limited space and hope to get "up to" running about 3 plants at a time, so I don't feel I have a lot of room to risk male plants and screwing up a blooming process at this time. (?)
