Introduction/Background -
Hello and welcome to my first grow/journal...thanks for visiting! Before getting into things let me give you a little background. I have limited experience helping and observing some very advanced indoor grows and as a result i got the itch. I am definitely a beginner and looking forward to growing, learning and hopefully helping others along the way.
Below you will find an overview of my planned/proposed setup as well as a section where I'm hoping to get some input before making final decisions. Please give any feedback and ask any questions that come to mind. I hope you enjoy!

Planned Setup -
Space: 4' x 4' x 80" (h) Mylar Tent (Flower); adding a 2' x 2' x 60" (h) Mylar Tent (veg) in the future
Plant Count: 4 ideally with the possibility of 5 from time to time. I plan to germinate 7 regular seeds at a time, however, I will be starting with 4 clones for this grow while I germinate and veg purchased seeds for grow #2.
Strains: I have not decided on strains of the clones for the first run but the first run of purchased seeds (2nd grow) will be a mystery 3-pack from Golden Coast Genetics, which I won't know until I receive as they are being added to an order as a promotion and I will also pop four (4) BG 91' (ONYCD x Bubblegum Chem) from Top Dawg Seeds.
Water: RO System
Lighting: please see below under 'Needs Input'
Flower Tent Environmental Controls:
-Air-Cooled with Vortex 347 S-600 6" Fan Pulling Air (will add Carbon Scrubber for flowering)
-Two (2) 6" Hurricane Clip Interior Fans
-ThermoPro TP60 Digital Hydrometer for monitoring
-Will purchase humidifier and/or dehumidifier as needed
Veg Tent Environmental Controls:
-6" Hurricane Clip Interior Fans; will I need more than this?
-ThermoPro TP60 Digital Hydrometer for monitoring
Needs Input -
Lighting: My tentative plan is to purchase two (2) Advanced Platinum Series P450's for the flower tent and eventually one (1) Agrobrite Designer T5 432w 4' x 8 tube for the veg room. My plan would be to use the P450's for both veg and flower with the clones and then when lights are flipped I plan to purchase the 2' x 2' veg tent and the Agrovrite T5. Please let me know thoughts/suggestions on these choices...I'm open to HPS/MH but leaning towards LED to start and maybe adding a 600w HPS for future grows.
Medium: Organic Soil; looking for suggestions/mixes...please keep in mind that I will be utilizing an organic compost tea regiment provided by a friend while I become more versed in teas.
Nutrients: Organic; looking for suggestions
Planter Sizes: My plan is to move from small planters to 3 gallon (for veg) and then 9 gallon (for flower); how does this sound? Could I go bigger or would it not make much of a difference with space limitations
Scrogging: Planning on scrogging while in final weeks of veg and a second tier of scrog during flower; please provide thoughts/recommendations on timing etc.
CO2: I'm open to purchasing a CO2 feeding element of some type; please provide thoughts/recommendations on necessity and method.
Timing: My plan is to receive clones on or just before Jan. 1st (hopefully already in 3 gallon planters) and veg for an undetermined amount of time with a focus on maximizing yield while considering space constraints. Please provide thoughts and feedback.
