That is what I was thinking. I am making butter with my crop and can't figure out how to weigh it out. It was suggested that I just get a two ounce sized jar and fill it but the very issues you raised make that method unreliable. I suppose I can grind everything up and divide it up that way...
There is so much to learn. It makes me wonder how many growers actually put in the effort to cultivate a quality product or do they sell whatever they have with not much of a regard for caliber. I have only made butter but have noticed potency discrepancies. I now know it is because of the...
My pistils are mostly dried and my trichomes are clouding up nicely but none are beginning the amber phase. I'll probably harvest soon. We are expecting rain tomorrow evening so maybe before then. I don't want to risk any more bud rot. I am going to opt for the lemon juice/baking soda wash...
Thanks. I plan on making butter with all of these. If there is mold, will the drying, baking, boiling and baking again in the final product kill it? For sure, either way I will keep the buds from the one plant separate from the others if I don't toss it.
I am keeping that plant separate from the others. I have to research bud rot more. I still don't know what to look for other than the obvious band in the above photo. Since that plant is so dark, it is difficult (for me) to see.
Everyone told me that growing would be difficult and to...
I am excited to have my first crop. I suspect these ladies are close to harvest. The pistils are beginning to brown but the trichomes are all still white. None of them are turning amber yet. I was told that one plant had bud rot (the second photo) and I cut off that cola and separated her from...
