I run light dep green houses as well as indoor and full term outdoor plants. The light deps that are harvested in july/august, produce a way better product than plants that were let to go full term in greenhouse/full sun and finish in october. Almost indoor in quality, actually better than a lot...
Where are your fans located? Imo ideally you want your exhaust fan near the top of your box, and the intake near the bottom. Hot air rises so you want to pull it out where it is hottest and introduce the cooler air at the bottom where the plants are. If that doesn't work you will need stronger...
I would say the same as above, I lolipop my girls at least 6"-12" depending on the size of the plant right after i flip em. All the fan's and small branches that are not going to produce much any way. This helps get airflow under you canopy and focuses energy to the top
Well de lights are not traditional hps, they are double ended bulbs and fired from both ends. It definitely produces more light than traditional screw in hps bulbs.
Yes I don't feed my girls at all in FFOF for the first 3 weeks except for orca. Then i start at about 600pm and work up from there. I feed with the botanicare prue blend line and love the stuff.
I don't have a journal being i just joined this site recently but i will share my results any way. I use to run hydrofarm raptors with global greenhouse 1000w digital ballast and ushio 1000w hps bulbs. Each light over a 4x4 area, 8 lights in a 12'x20' room with a walkway down the middle and 2'...
I would do something easy to grow and regular seeds/clones over auto. Dream queen/green crack is a good one. Finishes in 7 weeks, smells great, good yield, super easy to grow. Blue dream is also a good one, they can get big and stretches a lot though. They take little longer to finish 9-10...
I use trenches/beds/smart pots. For my smart pots i use 100' and 200's. Mostly all 200's now because you can fill a 100g pot outdoors fast and not get the full potential out of your plants. I would use a 100g minimum
Imo if you want to keep it simple as possible, i would go with fox farm ocean forest/perlite mix. Stuff is great, i use it indoors and out. You don't have to feed for the first 2-3weeks. Really forgiving and easy to work with
I re use my ocean for my outdoor grows. I have a large gas powered driving tiller that i use. I just dump all the pots and use my cat to move the soil into a flat pie and run the tiller over it multiple times to break all the roots up and till some amendments and new perlite in. I will add some...
I use ocean and love it. I get 1.5 cubic foot bags of it and i do the same perlite to soil ratio. 1 1.5 cubic foot bag fills a little more than a 10 gallon smart pot (i use 10's for indoor)
