    Picking your brain

It has nothing to do with GPW though. It has to do with efficiency more than anything and cost. I can build a 200w LED for $325-$350 (depending upon a few things) and prices are going down. That 200w LED will blow away ANYTHING MARSHYDRO has in that price range. I can build a 400w light...

    Picking your brain

re: Picking your brain Location: Engineer Are you an engineer? If so, you should easily be able to build yourself a light, no? COBS are the way to go. They are getting more efficient, and producing more light every time there is a revision. When was the last time you heard of Platinum or...

LED vs HID - did both - here's what I know

What LED are you looking at? If you build your own LED, itll be better than most anything you can purchase. You can build a more efficient light (about 42%) with 600w of actual power for about $1000. More than 540w, more efficient, and probably grow better/more green.

    Help please!

Build your own. For $350 or cheaper, you can easily build a 200w LED that will blow away anything these companies have to offer.

What is Highest grams per watt completed

Critical Kush is a pretty good yielder I thought. That is what I yielded the 600g with in a 2'x5' with 1.5 month veg time. We will see how inefficient I was on the 1000w in that small area as I have 400w of LED now for the same strain. And yes, strain makes a HUGE difference in GPW. If you...

What is Highest grams per watt completed

Powder not proper nugs? lol.... The humidity you store it at and the humidity it dries at are two different things. I live in a VERY dry climate and I dry in a dry climate. While it may dry to a lower humidity, it is also a much quicker dry and once cured, I utilize humidity packs to keep it...

What is Highest grams per watt completed

Thats the truth. I see "weight" in pictures and theres a 2" long stem still attached. How the fuck is the stem weight? Then you see people say "I have 16 ounces wet, itll turn out to 8 ounces dry Im sure" and never hear back from them. My weight ALWAYS goes up when I store as I keep them...

    2 x 600watt hps

Every ones conditions are different. Strains are different. Setups are different. No one can predict your yield and you did not even give us your previous setup (compared to what you have now). However, if done right, you should have no issue yielding a minimum of about 22 ounces and with a...

Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space?

re: Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space? The amount of LED he will need to cover his area cannot be obtained for $200. How is that putting anyone down? Theres no light from even MarsHydro that will handle his area. Mars Hydro lights are not equal to higher end LED or HPS. Just because you...

Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space?

re: Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space? I built 2 lights with Cree CXB3070 using quality Meanwell drivers. All materials (I used COB holders, which means no soldering the COBS) including fans, heatsinks, LED, and driver cost me $650 for both lights. They put out 220w (measured at the wall)...

Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space?

re: Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space? How is that 42w per sq ft Antics? That light draws a max of 170w. 7 sq ft you are only running at about 24w per sq ft. Barely acceptable for even the top of the line LED lighting. Just because its called a 100x3w LED (300w in diodes), that does not...

Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space?

re: Which LED Will Cover 36x30 Space? If you only have a $200 budget, buy a 400w HPS (or 600w so you can expand a little). You wont get enough LED for $200 to cover a 7 sq ft area. Even with higher quality LED (ie: Vero or Cree COBS), you will need atleast 30w per sq ft. The power savings...
