Fire Safety: How do you prevent a disaster?

Steel office cabinets - the way to go for safety, they last forever, and if you stop you can use them for storage. Steel won't burn - at least not without thermite. I have been growing in steel office cabinets for 16 years. Mine are 6' X 3' X 18". The light (HPS) is mounted on top and shines...

Fire Safety: How do you prevent a disaster?

Be smart. If you have a small indoor grow op I suggest you do it in 2'X3'X6' steel office cabinets. Steel does not burn, and as long as you have a metal screen over the ventilation exhaust and keep the door closed any fire will be contained. That's how I've done it for 15 years. And, when...

Must Read: Butane, BHO, Safety Warning

BHO extractions. Only outside, after a good soaking rain, and preferably a slight breeze. No static charge producing clothing. Must have...fire extinguisher nearby. COMMON SENSE. CONSIDER ALL THAT CAN GO WRONG and take care of as much as you can. Also consider....is it worth it? Wouldn't...

Fire Safety: How do you prevent a disaster?

The safest grow op is two 3' by 2' steel office cabinets. Can't burn that up. It could flame up inside but it won't burn thru. Also, minimize any combustibles where you grow or partake.

Must Read: Butane, BHO, Safety Warning

I've done a few extractions and every time I do it outdoors after it rains. I'm not doing large amounts, perhaps one oz at a time. I'm pretty sure that the risk is minimal, especially if there is a bit of a breeze. More of a PITA to use than make in my opinion.
