Wouldn't it effect other parts of the plant if it was a borer?

Hey Everyone.. I was away on vacation for a week and today I got home. I checked on my babies and one of the main buds are going brown. It looks like it's dying. The rest of the plant looks fine though. He's a couple pictures of the "brown bud" and one of the ones right beside it looking...

Been a while since I've updated this. Here's where I am right now. Looks awesome. Probably got 3 more weeks on her. Considering I just put this thing outside and watered it I'm extremely happy with the results so far.

Hey Everyone. Checked my CKS White Widow Autos today after 5 days of rain in Ontario! And the plants look healthy but some of my leaves are getting eaten. Also something has decided to eat or remove complete leaves!! Is there anything I could do here?? THANKS!
