Re: BlueBerry Fan Leaf: 19 Days into Flower. (P) Phosphorus Deficiency?
Hi
I think you have/had the same case as me - i started noticing leaves like that as beginning of P deficiency. Some of them going just paler turning yellow, some were like yours shown... i started treating after a week or...
You were right - P deficiency!
2 of the worse affected leaves
I feel like if I neglected my children :(
I took paintbrush and foliar fed them, not wetting buds at all. Nervously waiting for soil to get dry so I can flush asap. I was never this mislead, could have prevented it from...
That is a risk, I agree.
I did foliar feed twice yesterday, so it's to late to change that :) i know i shouldn't be doing it at this stage, exactly for this reason. I've given her a quick shot of what she needs, that's it. I really had to do something...
Thanks... it made me rethink everything.
I recon that Ph may not be single and most crucial - since molasses has abundance of Fe and Mn, it's highly possible, that absorbance of P is obstructed. That's what science says as well...
A) flushing
B) half strength nutes, slowly building up to...
That's my first next purchase - digital Ph meter.
Revisited my diagnosis and action plan - after closely observing them, I'll first flush them, then feed at half strength, slowly adding to full strength.
In between - foliar feed not to completely cut them on P-K and micro.
Given Ph at 6.5 and assuming uptake of nutes is OK, lofty dosage of P-K added -> Phosphorus deficiency ruled out.
Was studying all possible pics of P def, found on web, and I believe that P is not an issue.
But since I'm only human, please correct me if I'm wrong :)
:)
I'm just trying to use logic in diagnosis, nothing else...
I'm aware of possible issues when using chosen Ph testing - but.... don't you think i should experience Ph related issues in previous months then? Why now, out of the blue, there should be issues with Ph being out of range...
Ph - is not issue, if it was symptoms and issues with it would appear in past. Water is constant with its Ph, my measurements as well, and my Ph correction is always identical with same scores
Zinc def - i doubt, since Zn is not mobile so new growth should be affected - but it's not, leaves are...
I did measure water Ph, I still do - and it is constant at cca 8.5. So it's rather an alkaline medium. I leave water to rest for a day before watering, measuring Ph after mixing my magic into it.
So, if not N, what could it be? I once had a Mn issue with one if my babies in grow period, but it...
