Okay, I’ll order diatomaceous earth. How should I use this? And should I still use the mosquito dunk pellets? If so, mix them together? Please give me exact details of how to use both products and if together.

So I ended up buying the Monterey spinosad. Did a soil drench with half of a gallon like 2 days ago. If you have a minute, would you mind taking a look at my latest picture and give your opinion, I would greatly appreciate it. They haven’t had nutes since the flush which has been about a month and a week now. Tap water only. It seemed like the bugs were gone the top soil seemed dry and I moved it around so it can see if they were gone. The soil seemed moist still wet in the middle and I saw they popped back out. Quite a few (a lot), not sure what do now. Should I feed my plants the nutes now and put them in 12/12? Not really sure how to go about this, they been in veg since December and keep getting bigger. I know they’ll double, triple the size. Need to be sure I have the space. Any suggestions? Go into 12-12 or still hold off?

I would flip so they don't get too big and keep treating for the bugs every 7 days till they are gone. It is just about time for nutes... start feeding every other time any time you like and they should take off like a rocket with new growth.

Hey Emilya, I have switched to flowering. Currently at week 4, take a look at my new pics and add any suggestions please. The pistols are turning brown Already, started flowering 4/16. Still bug problem and take a look at the stems, seem to be purple. Any suggestions?

Also, is this indica or sativa? I think indica but an app I downloaded says it’s sativa, what do you think?

The purple denotes stress, most likely from the bugs. Keep fighting them... you have to win. It sounds like you and the plants are both fighters.

looks like a hybrid to me... it is both.

Brown hairs normal at week 4?

in some varieties, even earlier than that. Everyone thinks they have a freak, or something new is happening to their first grow. Sit back and enjoy the show... its your first time, and there are bound to be some surprises along the way.

My ph is like at 8; I think that’s why they are purple. I don’t know how to bring it down or what to use in the soil

The ph down that I try to find online is only for like hydro, I have my stuff on soil

someone has convinced you that your soil pH can and should be adjusted. If you have a typical soil with its base pH set up near 7 or 8 all is fine... this is how it was designed. You do not have to adjust your soil, and unless you did a slurry test in a vacuum, you did not accurately check the pH of your soil... whatever reading you got is highly suspect as being wrong. If you have a commercial soil, its base pH is probably very near to 6.8. All you need to do to work in soil is to make sure that every fluid that hits your plants is at the pH of 6.3. This brings your nutes in at the low end and then the buffers in the soil drift it up through the range toward the high end as the soil dries out. This allows you to run through the entire pH range and pick up each nutrient as it becomes the most mobile. It is a good system, and one that does not need adjusting by adding something to the soil.

Do you think you can look at my media and see my latest posting. Posted my trichomes, not sure if I should harvest or it’s too early. It’s an unknown strain and the first day I turned the lights off to put it on 12/12 was 16th of April. Haven’t even done a flush or anything. Only used p and k one single time my plants don’t seem to need watering for another day or 2. What do you recommend?

I would say that based on your trichome pictures, you are ready for harvest.

Does not having the right ph when plant is growing affect the way your bud grows, smells, taste or smokes?

if you are talking about the pH of your soil, it should be factory set near 6.8pH to grow houseplants and cannabis... and there should be nothing you need to do to adjust it. If you don't adjust your nutrient solutions to the proper pH, those nutrients will not be able to move up into the plant. That will not only affect the way it grows and the taste and smell, but it could kill the plant. Growing this plant in containers is a balancing act where many things have to be adjusted into the right range, or problems can result.

Okay okay one last thing. That last trichomes picture came out a little deceiving. I just posted what it actually looks like. Would you please take a look. I don’t want those brown trichomes. I would like the milky one where I’m right at peak. I only flushed once 2 days ago with only 1/4 gallon of water. They were still wet today so I didn’t water again. What do you recommend at this point? Should I continue watering everyday even if the soil is still wet? I don’t want bugs or to damage it. Should I just do a straight 15 gallon dump in morning And harvest once it drys? Possibly by Wednesday. Leaving it in darkness for 48 hours? Or should I just wait to dry and water again once it’s dry or stop for now and leave it in 48 hour darkness. I prefer to do it correctly. Where flushed with no harsh taste.

Also should I use hot water?

Also one last thing for those pictures I used a 90x magnifier, that’s all I have in hand.

if its harvest time, it is too late to properly flush, and giving just water does NOTHING to change the taste of your buds. Just water and feed like you have been doing right up to the end. If you were going to clean the soil of any built up salts with a proper 15 gallon dump was 2 weeks before the end... at this point, even a proper flush is worthless. If you don't want harsh taste, after harvest, dry and cure the product correctly... that is the only way to affect the taste. I would wait till you see 1 or 2 % amber trichomes at the very top and then I would go to darkness. Most of your tricomes will end up being in that peak of strength milky point. And don't use hot water. Whoever told you to do that needs a very stern look and can never be trusted again... what, are you trying to kill your plants right there, on the spot?? Cold water maybe for the winter is approaching shock... but hot water... egads man... watch that person very carefully from now on.
