Hi Billy. I have only used it for one full run so far and have only now started to adjust a bit. I love the system and the results, but I am tending to overfeed a bit from mid bloom on... the plants just seem to be hungry. Part of this is my fault however, and I think that without the fungus gnat problem that I am fighting, the geoflora all by itself would be enough. I did use a few supplements on that first run to bring in extra P and K, but that was only experimenting and trying to work around other problems that were encountered. This run is showing me that I don't need the supplements, but like I said... I am right now feeding my 3g containers as if they were 4 gallon, every two weeks or even a couple of days early if watering day falls early... and it looks like I have gotten ahead of the root hair eating fungus gnats. I cant compare yields to anything meaningful since it is a totally new grow space and lights... but yields and quality were quite acceptable. All is documented in my various grow journals over this last year.

Hi Emilya, Just curious if your feeding based on weight or using a cup scoop? I'm currently doing two clones, one with MegaCrop and one with GeoFlora.

With MC I always use my small digital scale because if I'm off 1/2 a gram I could be in trouble, but the weight exceeded my small scales capacity for GeoFlora so I used their conversion for a 10 gallon pot of 8 oz. = "about" a cup. I started to notice the plant is getting light green and got my food scale out and a cup weighed only 5 oz. (I couldn't believe it so I actually measured 5 one ounce portions on my small scale and it did in fact add up to a cup, so I've been shorting my plant 3 oz. or put another way only feeding it 62.5% of the true recommended feed rate. I'm sort of shocked because if I were to ballpark the weight to someone growing in a 10 gallon pot, knowing what I know now, I would say something closer to 1.5-1.75 cups, not 1 cup. I'm going to feed the extra 3 oz.'s mid week and then actually feed off of ounces going forward.

Hi Jerry! That is a very valuable observation, thank you. I have been measuring by volume too, not weight, and I have been noticing the same hunger that you described. This last time, knowing that I am seeing hunger, just not sure of the cause, I did increase my application rate. I figured out what a slightly bigger container would need according to the feeding chart, and instead of 78ml of Geoflora, I gave 100ml. Indeed, the plants have greened up a bit and I was sure I was on to something. Now I am going to weigh what I just applied and look at the numbers with fresh insight based on your observations. I am thinking that you must be right, and I will get back to you with what I find, most likely verifying your findings. Thanks again!

Absolutely, I've gained a lot of knowledge from reading your posts on here and to be honest ordered the GeoFlora based on some of your grow logs and reviews :). I am still fairly new to growing and have hopped around from Fox Farm Trio, not a big fan, to Mega Crop, which I do like from a cost perspective and general ease of use but certainly still getting used to riding the fence of reading the plants between under and over feeding and just recently got the GeoFlora. I certainly love the idea of top dressing once every two weeks and watering ever few days! I'm hoping the full weighed 8 oz. for my 10 gallon pot will do the trick. If I get good results, I think the small dollar premium per grow for constancy and ease of use will certainly be warranted. Eager to hear your findings as well!

One more thing as I'm nerding out here. I know a lot of directions are designed for simplification and ease of use but the bag says for amending mix 8oz. per cubic foot or for small application use 1oz. per 1 gallon and then for top dressing 8oz. per cubic foot every two weeks. So based on the bag, 10 gallons soil= 1.33681 cubic feet, so 8oz x 1.33681 = 10.69448 oz. This makes sense since they say 1oz per 1 gallon and 10 gallons would be 10oz so call it close enough. Meanwhile their online feed calculator says 10 gallon pot size should receive 8oz and by feeding the app. rate in cups they reference I delivered my plant 5oz. I think I'm going to have to contact GeoFlora and see what is the correct amount because if the technical level should actually be 10.69448 oz. and I've been feeding it 5 oz. of course I'm going to have problems.

yes, it is time to bring @GeoFlora Nutrients into this conversation. Luckily, as a sponsor, we have them right here to answer our questions.

Ah, what a great resource! Thanks, Emilya! So far, I'm very pleased with the speed of delivery and quality/look/feel of product and packaging. I Just need to sort out the feed schedule, which it wouldn't be the first time if I'm missing something.

I saw the below post from Jul 6, 2020 from @GeoFlora Nutrients

"Our Dosage is by volume, with a conversion factor of .35 lbs / 8 oz (1 cup) . We are working to clarify this. So, for a 4lb Bag, you would be looking at around 12 cups."

The only take away that makes sense from that would be they are casually using oz to refer to a volume measurement of a Fluid Ounce for a non fluid product. Clearly they are confirming 1 cup is the same as .35 lbs which also equals 5.6 actual weight ounces which is give or take what I found to be accurate. Good thing I definitely didn't add an extra cup of fertilizer to my plant last night.....it's fine though, rumor has it, it's hard to burn plants with organic fertilizer? Oh well, 1 cup didn't seem to be getting the job done anyways, maybe 2 wasn't the answer but sure will be interesting : ) Curious to see if they confirm this?

@GeoFlora Nutrients have any input on this? I would love some product support from the manufacturers.

@Emilya is there a better way to contact @GeoFlora Nutrients on here or does it usually just take a few weeks for a board sponsor to reply?

They are usually pretty quick with the responses and likes when I mention them on my threads. If you haven't heard anything by week end, let me know and I will shoot them an email.
