Windsor - A man and woman, both from Lakeshore, face drug trafficking and drug production charges after the OPP raided a subdivision home Monday and found more than $120,000 worth of marijuana plants and other illegal items.

Police haven't provided names of the man, 37, and woman, 39. They appear in court May 5.

According to an OPP news release, members of the OPP's Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Essex County OPP Community Drug Action Team and Lakeshore OPP officers executed a warrant at a home in the 1400 block of Heritage Garden Crescent.

Police say they found three rooms in the home converted to a grow operation. They seized 116 mature plants, 92 immature plants, 132 grams of marijuana, 7,801 grams of marijuana shake (stems and seeds), cultivating equipment and 17 cartons of illegal cigarettes. They valued the haul at more than $120,000.

The man and woman were both charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance.
