It was a wild Sunday morning in the North Valley. It included a medical marijuana robbery, a police pursuit and four wrecked vehicles - three of which were patrol cars.
Investigators say a handful of teenagers were behind it all.
Investigators aren't sure what led to the chase, but it stems from the teens trying to run away after a medical marijuana heist.
Deputies found freshly cut marijuana plants in the car.
Hours earlier, a medical marijuana grower on the east side of town reported some pot plants stolen, so investigators believe the cases are related.
Merced County Sheriff Mark Pazin said, “Everything we said was going to go wrong is going wrong… Herein lies the rub: these are the unintended consequences of these medical marijuana gardens.”
Five teens were arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall.
