Theory: Grow 6 plants outside, yield equals 6 pounds.

Are you still legal?

no. each patient is only allowed to grow 6 mature plants or 12 inmature plants and can not have more than 8oz of processed bud.

i agree with that, but what if your plants produce too much? Do you toss the extra to stay legal

Yes and no... it all depends on you. You can toss it... or you can have one big party to be sure you will get back into legal limits.
