Abnormal ph

Hey guy's. I've never had this problem until I bought this house.My water ph direct from the tap is 8.5.Knowing this I ATTEMPT to correct with ph down,yet my runoff is still running high 8's.Any ideas? My plants start off looking amazing,but next thing I know I'm looking at browning edges and dieing plants.Starting to wonder if I should even be drinking this water (well water).Maybe something wrong with the water? Any idea's greatly appreciated.

Also check the natural ppm if it's around 200 you have hard water. you could get a r.o.unit or use a water conditioner

Never use tap water, too many problems.

Use purified water, or as mentioned above get yourself an RO system. I have one in my garage hooked up with my washer. I also had it installed below my kitchen sink before. If you need help selecting an RO system, I can assist, shoot me a PM.
