OSTRANDER, Ohio -- State and local authorities performed a large marijuana bust Monday afternoon in Delaware County, NewsChannel 4's Elenora Andrews reported.

The bust, which is part of the state's marijuana eradication program, was made at a residence on state Route 257 south of Route 36 and east of Ostrander.

Officials found 2,779 marijuana plants at the home. The plants were found both inside and outside the home.

Ten weapons, including handguns, rifles and shotguns, were confiscated.

Officials said a suspect has been identified and a felony indictment will be sought. The street value of the seized plants is estimated to be about $3 million, with a potential yield of 3,000 pounds of marijuana.

State troopers found plants Monday east of Columbus.

Troopers seized more than $1 million worth of plants in Jackson and Gallia counties.

Officials said troopers found some pot and a notebook listing where plants were growing during a July 5 car search.
