Bugs eating the center (help)

I got these bugs eating the center of my plants. It looks as if they eating the middle of the stems and making these small holes. I opened it where I saw these holes and saw a warm (light brown) inside just eating away. Is there anything I can do about this? Or is my crop waisted.....

Hi mate,
i had the same problem, so i bought some BUZZOFF. Great stuff! It actually suffocates the bugs and is organic so it doesnt harm your plants.
Spray allover the plant, leave it for 24hrs and go back and remove the dead bugs bodies!!

Yeah I lost a plant last year to some little borer getting inside the main stem. I think they were earwig larvae. I used Pyrethrum and killed the little buggers. Didn't help cuz I caught it too late. Lesson learned...keep a close eye on your girls.
