Ottawa - The Canadian National Medical Marijuana Association (CNMMA) is pleased to announce Dyma Inc., Medican Enterprises, and Zenabis as its newest members. "It's essential that our new sector in Canada work together and have a strong, united voice", said Jeremy Choi, Co-Founder of Dyma Inc., a medical marijuana producer located in Ontario. "With such a rapidly changing market, we need to ensure Canada stays ahead of the curve and membership in the CNMMA will allow us to do that". On April 1 2014, Health Canada's Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR) come into full effect, eliminating home grow-ups and allowing approved companies to produce dried marijuana with high level of standards in the most secured facilities.

The CNMMA is comprised of producers, industry service providers, and health care practitioners seeking successful outcomes from the MMPR. ""The new sector cannot afford to work in silos. The closer we work together, the quicker the industry advances, and the greater our patients benefit", remarked Ken Williams, CEO of Medican Enterprises. "The market is still new in Canada and how our industry leaders work together today will influence how successful we will be tomorrow", noted Kevin Coft, CEO of Zenabis, a medical marijuana producer in New Brunswick. "We are impressed that the CNMMA is already advocating, working with elected and community leaders to help shape the sector and ensure it provides the needs for Canadian patients as an integral part of their health care treatment options. We have quickly recognized this is something we want to be a part of". Each new member exemplifies the characteristics and qualities that will help ensure the successful development of the market in Canada. Each approved member is supplied with CNMMA seal of approval.
