Clearing Your Chamber

When you guys are smoking out of a bong, how do you usually clear the chamber?

Even if the bong I'm smoking has a carb, I always take out the bowl and stem.

The only bong I have now is a homemade four footer and it has a slide stem. Slide stems work much better then hole carbs because with slide stems the smoke is completly cleared out of the chamber.

Stem. First couple times I smoked out of a bong, they had removable bowl/stem, so it stuck. Having a carb makes it feel like a crappy bong to me. I don't know, I guess it's just me.
