Cloning in a soil medium

Is it very hard to clone in soil or is it possible.I know I have to use root starter .but does it have to be cloned in a hydro system ?Would appreciate any help.Thanks guys .This site has been a big help on my closet project.

I have cloned in rockwool then stuck the rock wool in soil and had no problems

Using a hunidity dome on the plant helps alot. If you notice the mini greenhouses for cloning and cuttings, they all are covered. Try making one. It has to be air tight though. A cheap one would be a clear plastic 2-liter soda bottle.
