DEA Unfair to Medical Groups

Larger California dispensaries of medical marijuana claim they are being unfairly targeted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.

Among them is Shon Squier, 34, of Hayward, Calif., whose major storefront operation was shut down last month by the DEA, which also froze bank accounts containing $1.5 million and confiscated several expensive cars, motorcycles and $200,000 in cash, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

Further down the street, a much smaller operation wasn`t touched, leading Squier to allege he is being unfairly targeted for being successful, the Times said.

California`s two medical marijuana laws, Proposition 215, approved by voters in 1996, and Senate Bill 420, passed in 2003, are not clear about how much money proprietors of the estimated 170 medical marijuana outlets in the state can make.

The DEA does not recognize California laws legalizing the sale of marijuana to patients with doctor`s prescriptions, and special agent Gordon Taylor said the businesses have nothing to do with compassion for the terminally ill.

'When you pull the mask off, you see that they are nothing more than common dope dealers,' Taylor told the Times.

Medical dispensaries are an easy target with minimal work involved...although the government would claim laborous hours "investigating" these demon storefronts, those bastions of hell who pervert the youth into rebellion and God forbid...think for themselves!!! :laughtwo: Those DEA assholes! We should lock up some of their family for being related to those dumb fucks!!! :smokin: Ok, I'm over it..........

FUCK EM! The marijuana scene will never be solved till they legalize weed...who knows how many billions of dollars it will take to see this.

The dark environment around that infiltrates these organizations are only trying to do their job.
It is the Government" WE THE PEOPLE" that through due process of elimination have to remove these entities that are making controlled decisions to keep allowing the arrest and removal of Citizens engaged in Lawful enterprise. However, let's be honest here, what was involved in taking down this enterprising company is that they did push the limits, they did put it as "IN YOUR FACE DEA" this attitude will get anyone arrested.
In the long run this group that was taken down, has the right business model to be a success. There is no crime in being good at what you do.
Until State Laws that have been passed by "The People" are recognized by the Feds mostly the DEA, than battle will still be done between the 2 sides.
It is my opinon the DEA will soon be over helping to Regulate and Tax Marijuana and be working along the same lines with Growers and Distributors of Marijuana to enforce and carry out the Guidleines of Taxation & Regulation, we all should be looking at this as "Working Together" to lessen the burden in the already over crowded prisons and jails with Marijuana offenders. Increase local and federal tax bases through Taxation of Marijuana.
Years ago in the Northern California area a large group was arrested by the DEA, the SA in charge was even banging the guys wife. Mainly because of Taxation, "NOT PAYING" The poor shmuck and the investment group were internationl smugglers of Thai Weed as well as operating some of the early No. Cal mega outdoor grows. The Finance company owned by this group was a legitimate investment and was seized along with the assets and shut down.
The Dark Environment Around knows no boundary's.
