Trying to understand how to measure alkaline. Any info would be awesome. Growing in pro mix HP. Nutrient line general hydroponics Flora series full line .
Difference between pH measurements and alkaline measurements: any info would be awesome to help me understand this more

Keep it simple.
Pickup a digital PH meter (Hydro shops or 'Zon).
Adjust your ph based upon its readings. Recalibrate regularly.

I got like five PH meters lol. I'm just trying to figure out how pro mix HP pH is itself due to the alkaline of the water

I was just talking to an agent from pro mix and he wasn't talking my English I kind of got some of it but

Yes the nutrient solutions is what determines the alkaline something like that but yeah I'll check out your articles here in a minute thanks for the support
If you use citric to drop to around 6.0 you won't go far wrong - higher for soil, lower for hydro nutes
Technically speaking, you can only measure alkaline if the PH is above 7.0, otherwise you'll be measuring acidity, (PH below 7.0) 7.0 is neutral, neither alkaline or acidic. Together they make up the PH spectrum.
