A medical marijuana dispensary that opened in downtown Monterey is no longer in business, and legal action is about to be taken to shut down a separate clinic, police told Action News on Thursday.
A business going by the name of Green Shores Patient Center opened in the 100 block of West Franklin Street earlier this year. After Action News ran a story about the clinic earlier this month, police said the business stopped operating out of the building.
A representative for the Monterey Police Department also said Thursday that the city is preparing to file court papers to shut down My Caregiver Co-op, a medical marijuana clinic on Lighthouse Avenue that opened last year.
