Germinating seeds with a paper towel and a maxi pad.

hi, i'm melissa and i live in puerto rico.

so i've been thinking about growing my own stuff...

today i took 14 seeds and put them in a damp paper towel, and then put it inside a maxi pad, roll it, and put it in a ziplock bag. Afterwards i put it inside some pants in my drawer.

i plan on keeping you guys updated =D

Just make sure to keep those paper towls damp. I hope you decide to start a grow journal so we can all keep an eye on this good luck with your first grow

hey, glad to see another new face on this site, im pretty new myself.
that is what i do to start off all my seeds, in fact just started some more about 10 minuts ago haha, you should expect to see some tails sprouting in about 2 days, possibly sooner, however i have had some take up to a week, either way its the best way to start seeds.

never heard of using a maxi pad beefore, how did it work?

Yep the paper towel method works and it only took 2-3 days.... finally got some seeds to germinate!
Not a single seed I planted in the seed pete pots without prior germination in the paper towel ever took root even after a month.
None the less I know have a few paper towel youngins that I have now inserted into a few pete pots and they seem to be OK... (a couple of days old)
Oh well live and learn...
