UK - Neighbourhood police team officers and a support unit executed a drugs warrant at the property in Lingfield Road at around 10.45am on Wednesday April 7.

Officers discovered a garage that had been converted into two rooms and was holding the remnants of approximately 400 plants. The matured cannabis crop had been recently harvested, although there were around 15 young plants still growing.

An extensive amount of growing equipment and £10,000 in cash were also seized from the property.

PC Ian Lester, community beat manager for Rossall ward, said: “A drugs warrant was executed after we received information from the local community.

“There had been massive-scale cultivation going on at the address, and although a harvest had recently been taken this raid will weaken the drugs supply chain in the local area.

“We take community intelligence about drugs very seriously and will act robustly against those who are involved in dealing drugs in our communities.”
