Hid bulb question

What are. The best mh and hps bulbs? Like brand and model? I've noticed thir are quie a few choices with both mh and hps. Ranging from 20 a bulb up to almost 100 per bulb. Just yi his is a 400watt fixtures any help is appreciated as id like to optmize my grow and would like 2 purchase bulbs today

I use $20 bulbs. Are you using a magnetic, digital hid?

magnetic at the moment next grow will be upgrading my lighting to digital 600w

htg supply usualy has great deals on equipment and they have a enchanced spectrum (more blue added) hps for 35.00 55000 lumens.. ive notices some have lumens down to 50,000. so this is why im asking for the pro growers to chime in. thanks happy friday all!

Good to know thnx! Was also curious on the ushio hps bulb altho. It runs 85bux.. can't find much info on it yet. Gonna do some easearch tonight

I haven't used them. I am getting ready to try a Ceramic Metal Halide.
